Happy Tuesday!

It's been a great day.

We met with Nikita early this morning and were overjoyed when we walked in and he ran to Jon, immediately gave him "knuckles", a "high five" and hugs. Jon was overcome with emotion and in his words "what a great way to start a day." He then ran to me, gave me a hug and grabbed my hand and we walked into the playroom.

We spent alot of one on one time with Nakita today, and we know in our hearts that he is the child for us. He laughed, had a little temper (hello Jon!) and ran after us for hugs when we started to leave the baby home. As part of the adoption process, we understand that there are no guarantees - health wise - but we are more than willing to face those challenges head on with the support and love of each other, our family and friends. We are formally moving forward with adopting him and can't wait for the day when he can ride his trike! We do expect a very difficult day for us when we leave on Friday. We won't be able to return until late January/February at the earliest to see him again to bring him home, which seems so far away. We ask all of you for your continued thoughts and prayers. While this has been an experience of a lifetime, we are both mentally and physically exhausted from the happenings over the last 48 hours.

We're attaching some photos of our son ("brother") and are excited for the day when you can all meet Nakita.

Love and hugs to all of you!

Beck and Jon

Wow! he looks cute. I can't believe he had his ball in a picture. He's so sweet, we love him already! We all pray for Nikolas' health and safety, and we pray for your safe trip back.

Give Nikolas hugs, high fives and knuckles from us....and tell him he has a sister in Illinois who is anxious to see him. I actually cried when I saw the pictures.

love ya both! Nat

Congrats, guys!

We can't wait to meet Nikolas, the handsome little guy! You and Nick are in our thoughts and prayers, but we are also overwhelmed with joy for you.

We checked the Blog first thing this morning, and then we woke the kids up. They normally don't want to get up for anything, but when we asked if they wanted to see a picture of their new cousin - they jumped right out of bed. They, too, are very excited for you.

Love to all,

Matt & Kathy

Love his hat. He's adorable and Jack said he can come to our house to play Thomas. Ella and I read a book about adoption yesterday and she says she can't wait to meet Natalie's new brother even though brothers have stinky feet.

Jon and Becky,
We are SO thrilled for you! What a beautiful boy! My first thought when I saw the pictures was that Nick looks a lot like Jon, and that picture of Jon reading to him - I totally lost it, the tears were flowing. He looked right at home. When I explained to Carter about who was in the pictures, he asked "will he come to play with me? I will share my toys with him" :) Can't wait to hear more.

Know that we are sending you good thoughts and prayers and thanks for sharing the blog with us!

P.S. Congrats too to big sis Nat!

Ok...I'm waiting for more....but I bet your sleeping.....I check this thing three times daily, but have it figured out that in the morning when I get up there probably will be another chapter in the best book I've read......not to mention the only book I've read lately. Hope that all is going well......wow what an experience...Bumby
